Jose Roman Duque Drummer/Composer
A graduate of Berklee College of Music. Jose has always set up to establish himself as the most innovative and versatile musician wherever he sets up residence. Now living in Miami this Venezuelan musician has positioned himself as the go-to guy in a variety of styles, such as Jazz, R&B, Latin, Rock, World Music, and Pop.
Jose is also a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the GRAMMYs) He has recorded/Performed with: Niko Tsonev(Steven Wilson/Lifesigns), Jonathan Noyce(Jethro Tull/Gary Moore) Colin Edwin(Bassist of Porcupine Tree) and Jon Durant’s band, BURNT BELIEF, Claudio Roditti, Sergio Brandao. Founder of the projects, THE GED TRIO, Jose Duque's RELOAD, Jose Duque's ZUMBATRES, and ROMAN(US), Emigdio & La SUPERPOWER, a super funky pop band by the original keyboardist of DESORDEN PUBLICO.
Jose divides his time between teaching drums at CENTER TONE MUSIC SCHOOL in Key Biscayne, FL, as well as his private studio teachings. Jose keeps performing live with the EMIGDIO+SUPERPOWER, JAZZILIAN PROJECT (with maestro Jose Gallegos and Dr. Ed Calle) , The Randy Armstrong Group, and Yvette Norwood-Tiger. Jose also has written the score for two films independently released in Spain in 2012 and 2013. Has composed, produced, and released independently eleven Albums.

I got to know José Roman Duque or JORODU through another project with Zeituhr. In my current project "Way out..." I wanted to have a real drummer and asked José... he agreed. We then set up fine cooperation across the big pond. It was almost as if he sensed or felt my thoughts and ideas about my tracks. Sounds a bit over the top, but most of the time the first take was perfect. The result can be heard now and is also rated very positively by the listeners.
